I saw these lights and bought them less than a month ago. So far, we have used them on the Orange bowl and BCS bowl in New Orleans. Now we are using them on basketball. Being in business for over 35 years, I have never seen so many positive attributes in one light……..and with such low power draw.
Hi, Once in a while something comes along in this industry that you’re excited about and the ECO punch 5600 is it. This is the future, The output for Led’s is finally there. This changes the playing field. I’ve been a gaffer for over twenty five years and have never seen a light this effective. Not to mention the minimal power needs.
As someone who has always been in love with the idea of LED lighting but less than thrilled with what’s been available, I can’t tell you how excited I am about this light. Very bright, great color temperature, internal balast and universal power supply. And it stays cool to the touch no matter how long you leave it on. This light makes my job a ton easier, my set-up times faster and my results outstanding.

The Eco Punch LED 5600 really kicks ass! Used it on a two different shoots. The first one was exterior on an overcast day. Lit up the talent well. Great throw! The second shoot was also exterior but at night. Had some 2.5K HMI’s standing by but didn’t need them. The Punch gave me more than enough intensity. These are LED lights! I was so impressed. The light is self-contained having no ballast or head cable to haul around. Plus, they can be used for hours at a time, you turn the light off and immediately put your hands all over it. These LED’s are the answer to a lot of my lighting needs!
I recently saw high speed video shot with the ECO 5600. The material was entirely flicker free and and still grabs could be pulled from any frame. All the material was beautifully rendered with no repetetive drop out or dimming to correct in post. The set up was repeated over a widely varying frame rate and the ECO delivered flawlessly with no complicated adjustments or calculations. High speed no longer entails crossing your fingers and hoping the strobes pop just at that exact moment to capture what is fleeting to naked perception. This ECO series packs a lot more technology than is obvious at first glance.
It doesnt take an expert to realize how much this light can change the indistry. Its as good, if not better then an HMI, its light weight, it doesnt need a ballast, has a built in dimmer and even strobe function! This light is revolutionary in every way! What more does a gaffer need?
